SHE'S IN THE SKY, LONDON BOUND

At Lucy HQ we are quietly obsessing over our resident model Jordan! We sat down for a chat with her for a little look into the (drool-worthy) life of a model. Check out our behind the scenes snaps of her getting hyped up for her overseas trip, totally jazzed over Kanye West and weak at the knees for her guilty pleasure!

What is your style, and how are you a Lucy girl? 

My style’s pretty relaxed, I prefer to be 
comfortable and not go over the top, but when I 
go out I like to dress up. So that’s where Lucy
 comes in perfectly with the party dresses and cool accessories! Which piece from the shoot today do you wish you could steal? Definitely the poncho! I just never thought I’d wear something like that, but it’s really cool and slouchy.

What has been your favourite job as a model? We hear you were a bit giddy over meeting Kaye West? 

It was really cool meeting Kanye, it was a casting for his fashion show so I had to walk for him and he was just like ‘Hey Jordan, how are you? I'm Kanye,’ just like when you’re at a normal casting.

The best job I've had was a year ago, I went to Hawaii for Girlfriend magazine. They flew us there for a week, which was amazing and of course I love shooting for Lucy every week. It’s great to have a regular job where I’m so comfortable.

What has been your favourite V.I.P experience?

We went to future music festival recently and danced on stage with The Wombats and Friendly Fires, which was amazing! We raced bunnies with Gym Class Heroes out the back that was really cool. It was just a really cool, really good day. I love festivals.

What’s your fave thing in your wardrobe at the moment? 

I have these pretty wonderful shoes at the moment, which I painted. They're kind of like my ones today, but they are cut offs. I spray painted them bronze and did a bit of D.I.Y on them but they’re really fun! And now I'm just trying to find things that go with those.

What are you wearing today?

I’m wearing my boyfriends American Apparel oversized tee, Ksubi Jeans and these boots!

What song do you get your dance on to? 

Probably M83 Midnight City, I’m pretty obsessed with it, I just can’t not dance to that one.

What’s coming up for you? You’re going to Coachella? 

I’m going to Coachella and I’m so excited. Everyone was kind of saying ‘If you don’t do it V.I.P it’s going to be shit’. But, you’ve got to have to artist passes to be able to hang out the
artists anyway. I love V.I.P but I just actually want to be in the crowd and be amongst the atmosphere and go mental. It’s the best. So I’m not worried about not going V.I.P!

Who is your inspiration?

I like Alexa Chung a lot!

What’s your guilty pleasure?

Eating Messina Ice Cream! Woah! This is my guilty pleasure and I have to do it once a week. We go to this sushi place called Sushi on Stanley and they’ve got these boxes of chicken teriyaki sushi, it’s the best sushi ever! Then we go to Messina after and they’ve got Coconut and Lychee ice cream it’s amazing -­‐ so good. And all the flavours are so good...I think I’m going to go pretty mental when I go to Italy.

Shoes or Chocolate? 

Chocolate.

We know your best friend is also a model, do you two get competitive?

Not at all actually, we are completely different looks because she’s blonde. I think if she was brunette I would be a bit more competitive. But no, I love it! I recommended her for this job and if anyone’s going to do well I want it to be her.

What are your plans for the future? 

I’m going overseas! I’m moving to London! I’ve never been to Europe before so I’m so excited. I’m just going to travel as much as I can and work if I can. I think it’ll be a bonus if I can work just to live. But I’m keen to move and experience another country, can’t wait!
