For this Swedish multi-talented singer/songwriter, performer, musician, school girl and big sister, life has always been about music, ever since she was born in Stockholm in 1990. Her parents Tina and Peder, both professional musicians introduced her to studio life, as a two month old baby, and at the age of five she was on stage for the first time, singing backup vocals at one of her parents many gigs.

Lucy and her younger sister Denise were very close; they shared the same passion for music and dance, always performing whenever they had the chance.

In spite of being almost blind, Denise learned everything from how to ride a bike to creating impressive paintings with strong colors. Lucy was always the big support and a great mentor for her, inspiring her and being inspired by her courage. Denise proved to Lucy that nothing was impossible. Denise died on June 7th, 2002 , due to a heart condition.
It was during these hard times Lucy started writing her own songs, and expressing her inner self though music, finding the strength, hope and faith to carry on.

Lucy remembers back on the early days, when she used to 'steal' her fathers albums to sit there alone with headphones on and dream that one day she would be able to listen to her own music in the very same headphones. She listened to everything from Toto, Chaka Khan, Extreme, Eva Cassidy, Earth,Wind & Fire to Foo Fighters and Blindside, taking inspiration from all she heard.

That day has now come for Lucy; The band 'Lucy In The Sky' was formed with fellow musicians, Patrik Ljungberg (19), Markus Heier(17) & Axel Brundin (20) - which she all met at the 'Mega Music' school in Helsingborg where she has been studying for 2 years.

Lucy in The Sky is now signed to the M label group on a deal that is one of the most expensive record contracts ever made in Scandinavia for a new-comer – and the album is being produced and mixed by those responsible for the latest Britney Spears, Sugarbabes and Rachel Stevens, just to name a few, so this young star and her band is indeed on the way to fulfilling their dreams.  

Lucy has always believed that she would have the chance to write and express her music while maintaining the integrity of what she is about.  All this is possible because she processes a huge talent, though it would never have happened if it was not for her fierce belief and determination.  When Lucy puts her heart and head into something, she never stops; taking inspiration from her late sister's own strength and determination against the odds.  She put it quite simple in her own words: “ I love to run and I run at least 3 times a week.  I always say to myself for example, that today I am going to run for 5 km.  When I am out there and I reach about 3-4 km, it’s getting really hard for me and I have trouble breathing.  I say to myself, that I know I can do it, and then I just continue, and suddenly at one point it’s like I get an extra super power or something, and then it feels like I can go on for even 5 km more without any problems.  I think it's because I reach something called 'runners high'. However, I like to think of it as you can do anything you want if you are determined enough, and if you can overcome the problems on your way, and just keep going - keep believing in yourself, believing you can do it - then you can.  It's quite crazy and a really positive feeling .      

Now with that attitude, talent, determination, inspiration, hope and unrelenting courage in seeking and achieving what she so desires, this is why we say, that for Lucy in The Sky, only the sky is the limit, - And that is also one of the reasons why their debut album is called “We Dream Of Better Endings”.
